Dry fly tied on Hanak 130BL hook using Hends materials.
This pattern works well during the day especially when natural caddis are depositing eggs. The orange butt hot spot is imitating an egg sac and triggers the fish looking for a bite with some extra protein.
Hook size depends on the size of the imitated natural insects. Ciprian's all-time favorite size for this fly is 14, but sometimes using size 12 or 16 can make a difference.
