This pattern works well during a morning hatch but is best in the evenings and on cloudy days. The target species are trout and grayling.
Hook size depends on the size of the imitated natural insects. For example, on Adirondacks and Québec rivers size 12 and 14 works well, but on some European rivers and Alberta's Old Man river size 16 and 18 are best.
