Prime quality Cod de Leon from the best breeders in Spain's Leon Province at a fair price.
These fine, stiff, and perfectly coloured feathers make the best material for tails on nymphs and dry flies.
In English "Coq de Leon" translates as the "Leon Rooster". Dating back to 1624, this is the oldest line of birds bred for fly-tying feathers. While there are breeders based in other countries and continents, Spanish farms continue to produce the highest quality of feathers available anywhere.
"Pardo" are feathers with fine speckling. The other type of feather is the "Indio" or Indian. Indio feathers lack the speckling.
Both lines are often divided into subgroups, but the colours are so close that distinguishing each subtype is very hard and has no practical fly-tying significance beyond personal preference.
11-12 feathers per pack.
