This fly pattern works well during a morning hatch but is best time is in the evening and on cloudy day. The target species are trout and grayling.
The best size depends on the size of the insects that are found on the river. For example, in the Adirondacks and Southwestern Québec size 12 and 14 work well, but on some European rivers and Alberta's Old Man river size 16 and 18 are best.
